Actua Systems Inc. designs and manufactures the patented PositionIt™ positioning system (formerly known as the Ribbonlift), a unique, self-contained product for lifting, lowering or extending virtually anything – cameras, lights, speakers, projectors, antennae, tools, set elements, cargo, or anything else that you need to move.

Actua purchased the assets of the Ribbonlift business in May of 2006 and operated under the Ribbonlift name until October of 2006, when the company adopted the Actua name.  Actua is a subsidiary of Imagility Inc.
